
CHUCK CARGILL
1937-2019
GLENMONT- Charles (Chuck) Cargill, age 81 of Glenmont Ohio, peacefully went to be with the Lord on June 27th, 2019 at his residence in Glenmont.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Union Grove Church of Christ 2135 TR 2 Killbuck, Ohio with Minister Robert Hines officiating. Burial will take place at Union Grove Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home Millersburg, Ohio.
Chuck was born on December 3rd, 1937 in Cadiz, Ohio to John and Ruth (Liming) Cargill. He married Barbara Arnold on June 22nd, 1986 and they recently celebrated 33 years of marriage.
Chuck was a faithful and active member at Union Grove Church for many years. Chuck served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961. He began his teaching and coaching (wrestling and football) careers at Triway Local Schools. Chuck continued his career at West Holmes as a teacher, assistant football coach, and athletic director for several years. Upon retirement, he was a scout for Danville Blue Devils Football and was a groundskeeper for several local football fields. Chuck enjoyed spending his time with family, taking walks, and making homemade ice cream.
Surviving is his wife, daughter Jeannie Cargill, children, and their families; Bill (Tess) Arnold, Mallory (Eliott) Nolan, and Cole Peters, Lindsey and Brady Arnold, Tammy (Jim) Fair, Angie (Corey) Jax and Jace Snyder, and Carie Fair, Rod (Marilyn), Kelsey and Karley Arnold. Brother, Mark Cargill, and sister, Martha Lou (Ron) Becker, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; John, Gayle and Donald, and sisters Margaret Jean Howell and Elizabeth Conkel.
The family would like to thank Hospice for being so loving and caring, Rose and Chuck Miller, Victor Gray, Brent Wilson, and Joe and Dolores Kline. A special thanks to Carie Fair, Lindsey Arnold, Karley Arnold, and family and friends.
