SHARON (Tolbert) POWER

1950-2013

Sharon J. Power, 62, of Wooster, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at her home.

She was born Nov. 11, 1950 in Wooster, the daughter of Donald R. and Vera DeVore Tolbert. She married Steve P. Power on Sept. 9, 1972. He survives.

Sharon was a 1970 graduate of Triway High School and the Paul C. Hayes Technical School in 1971, where she received a degree as a dental assistant.

She received her STNA degree in 2003 as a home health aide and worked at Cambridge Home Health.

She loved to work on craft projects for family, friends and strangers, she loved to draw and read romance novels. Sharon listened to countryu music and liked to travel to North Carolina to see the grandkids and all over to visit with friends.

She was loved by everyon and had a very positive, optimistic attitude.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Crystal D. Power of Wooster; a son, Philip A. (April) Power of Garner, N.C.; a grandson, Caleb, age 5; a granddaughter, Mazzy age 2; and a sister, Karen Nickle of Wooster. She is also survived by five nieces and eight nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathy Wilkinson.

Friends will be received at the McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216  E. Larwill St., Wooster, on Thursday from 6-8 p.m.

A service of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stephen Moran officiating.
